Egypt will experience unsual temperature fluctuations over the coming days

On january 5, Dr. Muhammed Ali Fahim, the head of the center, described the period as one of the major thermal oscillations.

He said that the country has emerged from one of the coldest phases of winter. It was recorded light frost in desert areas and parts of the central delta. The report said that the days leading up to the start of Toba month in coptic calender will witness dramatic weather changes with temperatures varying between 29 celcius and 16 degrees celsius.

How was the temperature during winter in ancient Egypt?

Well, we didn't imagine the pyramids covered in snow and that's for a reason. You see, Egypt is mild and dry. The winter back then was cool and pleasant while nights were chilly in desert. So, the pyramids weren't cover in snow. It's extremely rare in Egypt since ancient times till now. The reason is that Egypt is located in a desert climate zone.

Also, an interesting fact is that the pyramids back then didnt look sandy and worn like today instead they were once covered in smooth white limestone which made them shine brightly in the sun as if they were glowing.

We highly recommend to visit Egypt during the winter since it's the best period for tourists. Away from the freezing days in their homeland and very close to the wonders of the ancient world.
