Egypt Approves 300 Million dollars italian tyre manufacturing plant in the free Zone

 

The Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel Al Wazir has approved italyàs prometeon Tyre group to establish a 300 million dollars manufacturing plant in one of Egypt's free zones.

The factory produces tyres for heavy transport vehicles, engineering equipment and agricultural tractors. This will serve domestic demand and boost exports. This shows the government efforts to localize the automotive industry and expand private sector investments as a part of the government plan to boost the manufacturing to 20 percent of GDP.

President El-Sisi attended Davos economical conference and emphasized Egypt's commitment to economical reforms

On 21 January 2026, President Abdelfattah el Sisi said Egypt continues to implement the economic reform program despite the global crisis. He also said that Egypt adopted a comprehensive package of mesaures aimed to control the country's monetary policies to restore investor confidence.  This remarks was being held at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
