Cairo Continues Its Efforts to Halt theWar in Sudan

 In UN Securit council, Ambassador Ihab Awad affirmed tat Egypt continues its efforts to stop the war in Sudan. He stated that Egyt is particapting within the framework of the internatinal quartet mechanism to end the suffering of the brotherly sudanese.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of establishing safe humanitarian shelters and corridors to protect the civilians. He added that Egypt hosted a meeting of Sudanese political and civil forces under the umbrella of the Cairo Dialogue in July 2024.

He also urged the international community to take the necessary measures to stop the violation of humanitarian law and the crimes committed against innocent civilians in the Darfur and Kordofan regions. Especially after the following of the city of El Fasher.
