Egypt says will respond to any harm from Nile dam in Ethiopia

In a senate human rights committee, Abdelatty, the foreign minister stated that Egypt will respond under international law with countries right to self defence to Ethiopia incase their share be affected by the construction of Ethiopia dam. Egypt relies 98% on the nile so he warned Egypt will not hesitate to defend its national security.

In ancient times, Egyptians depended on the Nile for survival. It is the only reliable water source in Egypt. Agriculture, transportation, trade, food, natural resources like papyrus, religion and protection wouldn’t have thrived without it.

If you visit the Pyramids of Giza, you will see how impossible it was to construct them without a water source for survival and transportation. They transported granite blocks from Aswan to Giza through boats. Imagine if there wasn’t a nile. It would be extremely difficult for the Egyptian civilization to flourish.
